Identity
I am an Industrial designer focused on Interaction and Product design. I am driven by curiosity, practicality, and a passion for hands-on creation. I create designs that inspire curiosity, prioritise human agency over automation, and are both functional and aesthetic.
During the design process, I combine analytical skills with inquisitiveness to explore the design space. I continuously ask critical questions to deepen my understanding and refine my ideas, aligning this curiosity with a learning-by-doing approach. By building, testing, and iterating, I gain clarity on what works and what doesn’t. I actively seek different perspectives throughout each phase, allowing me to compare my own thinking with that of others and challenge my assumptions early.
I communicate ideas through sketching, 3D printing, and paper prototyping, while testing feasibility from the start, often using electronic circuits to explore functionality and interaction.
My strengths lie in Technology and Realisation, User and Society, and Creativity and Aesthetics. I focus on translating ideas into tangible, engaging designs that are both functional and visually compelling, while keeping human thinking and interaction central. Within teamwork, I see myself as a choice-maker, giving myself and others the freedom to explore while focusing on the essence of ideas to guide decision-making. Although diving into the details through making can sometimes lead to tunnel vision, I actively involve others with diverse perspectives to be able to continuously reflect on the core values of my designs, ensuring these guide the process from start to finish.
